The loft is one of Scotland’s most energetic, dynamic and exciting creative studios. Based in the heart of Glasgow, we help companies, organisations and individuals bring their ideas to life in the most imaginative way possible – tackling projects such as identity design, websites, brochures, art-directed photography, campaigns etc.

We work in a fast, high-octane and purpose-led environment where there are no limits to how many ideas we’ll explore, how tightly we’ll stretch a deadline or how much we’ll do for our large and diverse client base. A client base which includes Consumer Brands, Software & Technology Companies, Whisky Distilleries, Third-Sector Organisations, Professional Service Businesses, etc.

We are looking for a designer, to replace an outgoing member of staff, who is brimming with ideas, enthusiasm and creative ambition. They will have exceptional technical skills and enhance our creative output. They will love exploring ideas as part of a team and have a real flair for problem solving. They will be comfortable working in a very fast-paced environment with multiple and sometimes daily deadlines. They will have a real ‘Can-Do’ attitude and be relentlessly positive. They will love design and have superhuman levels of enthusiasm for their subject.

Our South Block studio is chaotic and fun, we do new things every day and take on new challenges – we stretch clients budgets to breaking point with the number of ideas we’ll explore – always looking to deliver better projects and better service. Late nights, early mornings and last-minute Creative U-Turns all await the successful candidate.

We expect the candidate we choose to

– Be able to quickly and comfortably generate concepts and ideas with their sketches.
– Use the main programmes from the Adobe Creative Suite (you know the ones we’re talking about) with aplomb.
– Be able to comfortably interact with clients.

The following skills are useful but not necessary…

– WordPress editing with a working knowledge of HTML/CSS.
– Creative copywriting for website and social media channels.
– Basic Photography

Our company puts creative ideas at the heart of its philosophy, we don’t put barriers between the design team and our clients, you will interact directly with our client and work on live projects from Day 1. We want people that can grow with us and make the world that little bit richer from the beautiful ideas we bring to life.

This position is perfect for a graduate or lesser-experienced designer, however we are open-minded to more experienced designers too.

We are having an open-day and holding interviews on the morning of Monday 5th of November 2018, for those of you that are scarily keen and want to get in early – the studio will be open on Saturday 3rd of November between 3-5PM.
